Yoga spanda
The term Spanda, whose translation from Sanskrit would be the vibration, the pulsation is a founding theme of Kashmiri Shaivism.
Spanda is defined there as the fundamental nature of consciousness which is vibration.
Listening deeply to this vibration which pulses at the heart of all states of consciousness engages the exploration of asanas in a sensitive, subtle and effortless way.
The movement then becomes tactile and the body’s response resonates in expansion.
Mindfulness of the breath (Pranayama) allows this exploration to be extended by making oneself available to listen to the breath which unfolds, is absorbed and stabilizes ad infinitum.
